We were contacted by interior designer Pia Clodi and her client Katharina Richter-Wallmann around the middle stages of their design collaboration for the family owned Salzburg Hotel ‘Zum Hirschen’.
We had a lovely first meeting during which Pia and Katharina presented the overall project and their aspirations and needs. They liked the existing Areti Collection as well as the fact that Areti too is a family owned company with its own manufacturing located fairly close by.
Pia and Katherina explained which locations needed lights, what the materials and atmosphere of each space was going to be, and what the budget for each piece would be.
From there, we made several design proposals.
Some lights such as the Row pendant or the Up / Down ceiling light were taken from the existing core Areti Collection.
Others were adapted from an existing design to fit the specific requirements, such as the double leafed Perspective Variation wall light.
The Tulip ceiling lights were taken from a light family that was still in development at the time and would form part of the Reflection Collection.
Finally, some lights were designed with this Hotel project in mind, such as the Salzburg wall light, which bears the name of the Austrian town, in which the Hotel is located.
The finished design is beautiful and personal and reflects the warm atmosphere of a family run hotel.
